Is The New Chevrolet Corvette C8 As Good As It Was Expected To Be, You Be The Judge

We’ve all been in the movie theater watching a remake of a famous movie and 14 minutes into the show you realize it is crap, and it’s never going to live up to the original. Deep down you know that you wasted a bunch of money and now time…it’s just a you in that lonely seat eating your cold popcorn and a flat watered down soda.
Well, this time around…there is a remake that we think you’ll love! Last year there was word that Chevy was coming out with a mid/rear engine Corvette WHICH had a lot of the market of the car lover kind of torn and up in arms on the possible changes. I mean, this is a historic vehicle that has won the hearts of millions of people across the globe.
The C8 is the first mid/rear engine Corvette which is powered by small block a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8
producing 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque with a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds. With that said, the styling looks like the love child of a Lotus and a Lexus LFA which isn’t a bad thing at all. Throw this thing on the track and you obviously feel the power but you’ll notice just how nimble this car is, wherever you point the nose it seems to go in that direction without massive oversteer that makes you feel like you are going to slam into the wall. For everyone that is looking to add some aftermarket parts to make more power, Chevy left you enough room to add a supercharger, a mini blender and a crock pot for all you folks who are looking to be all in on some Keto while you drive (zing at Brian). The C8 stole the show at the SEMA reveal party while also announcing the C8R which is the race car. There is some talk on the interwebs of a fully electric C8 out there, with Chevy announcing it’s electric crate motors it could be something we see rolling out in the next 2 years.
